Through our coaching experience we have seen an increasing investment of resources in field hockey programs with the intention of improving a team's performance. Advanced video software, sophisticated cardio tracking devices, outlet and pressing data analysis, and the list goes on and on, having all played a role in developing a team. Despite all these huge investments with the final goal of winning more games at the end of the season, there seems to be an area that most teams have forgotten about: penalty corners.

​These championship-deciding set pieces, in a lot of cases, have fallen to the bottom of the list of priorities when preparing and scouting games. The PCA project aims to give coaches who are interested in improving their team's penalty corner performance, a successfully proofed video and data analytics tool.
