Why do we rely so much on data analytics? In words of the Former NFL Executive Joe Banner: "Analytics are sophisticated, accurate and quality information […]. There should be no coach afraid of that". Data has changed the sport of football (amongst many others) in the last few decades, and we believe this is the moment that it starts changing field hockey.

Our system
We have developed a data reporting system that deeply relies on categorization through different levels, dividing and classifying every penalty corner. This categorization combined with an advanced numerical system that we have created to name every single penalty corner execution, allows us to notice tendencies, while finding strengths and weaknesses on your team (for performance reports) and opposing teams (for scouting reports). Here is a brief view at the first level of our categorization system, by play type:
Straight: direct shot to goal after the insert, either a hit, sweep or dragflick.
Passing: sequence of passes after the insert to look for an empty space inside of the circle.
Deflection: one touch finish in front of the goal after an initial pass/shot.
Dribble: striker carries the ball to either side to avoid the fly and find space to shoot.

Our features
These are some of the many tools we use to breakdown data and present it to you:

Same as with APCs, we also recreate every defensive variation from opposing teams, allowing coaches to anticipate defensive setups.
